Waiting on Wednesday (31)

From the author of Article 5 comes the haunting tale of a girl on the run from the men who hunt her, men who want to auction off breeding rights to the highest bidder.

In a world where females are scarce and are hunted, then bought and sold at market for their breeding rights, 15-year old Aya has learned how to hide. With a ragtag bunch of other women and girls, she has successfully avoided capture and eked out a nomadic but free existence in the mountains. But when Aya’s luck runs out and she’s caught by a group of businessmen on a hunting expedition, fighting to survive takes on a whole new meaning.
Coming February 2015
I am totally unfamiliar with this author, but after reading this summary, I sure as hell wish I were.  It reminds me a bit of Lauren DeStefano's Chemical Garden trilogy but I'm hoping that this one will turn out a bit better for me.  It looks promising, because the summary didn't mention a love interest, though of course that doesn't mean there won't be one.  But I'm hoping he (or she) will at least be a side item and not a main course.

Though I am also hoping and praying that this book actually has something to do with a glass arrow, because otherwise tables will be flipped.  I have completely lost patience for abstractly named books, whose titles are used only for their visual appeal instead for which the purpose that titles were originally charged with.  #endrant

What are you waiting on?
